Free tickets, required for the evening concert, are available at the Misciagna Box Office, Monday through Thursday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., or at the door. A group of Sphinx Virtuosi musicians will participate in a forum, Marginalized Communities and the Arts, led by Penn State Altoona faculty member Tim Melbinger. The musicians will perform excerpts from their repertoire and take part in a conversation about access to the arts in minority communities.

The Bang on a Can All-Stars sextet, known for dynamic live performances and recordings of innovative music, crosses genres among classical, jazz, rock, world, and experimental. Ashley Bathgate is the band's cellist. Robert Black plays the bass. Julia Wolfe, Bang on a Can co-founder and composer of the Pulitzer Prize-winning oratorio Anthracite Fields, will participate in the discussion portion of the event.

Wu Han and David Finckel are 2012 winners of Musical America’s Musicians of the Year honor. Philip Setzer is a founding member of Emerson String Quartet.

Refreshments will be served. Each attendee receives a Classical Coffeehouse mug, while supply lasts. Each Penn State student in attendance receives—at the end of the coffeehouse—a voucher for a serving of Berkey Creamery ice cream.

Seating is limited.

Roomful of Teeth will share excerpts of its work, demonstrate vocal techniques from around the world with participation from the audience, and reflect on the group’s intercultural research. The Grammy Award-winning vocal ensemble incorporates elements of Tuvan and Inuit throat singing, yodeling, Korean P’ansori, Persian singing, Hindustani music, and more.

Artistic Viewpoints, an informal moderated discussion featuring ANNIE cast members Mallory King (Lily St. Regis) and Jeffrey B. Duncan (FDR), is offered in Eisenhower one hour before the performance and is free for ticket holders. Artistic Viewpoints regularly fills to capacity, so seating is available on a first-arrival basis.
