WHY BECOME A MEMBER?

Ticket sales cover about one-third of what it takes to bring world-class artists to central Pennsylvania. We rely on the generosity of community members like you for our continued success. As a member, you help the Center for the Performing Arts:

  • Provide targeted engagement activities with renowned international artists to Penn State and area high school students;
  • Create collaborative community workshops for adults and children throughout Centre County;
  • Present a variety of education programs, including School-Time Matinees, to thousands of children from more than twelve counties in grades Pre‑K through 12;
  • Ensure that sight-challenged patrons enjoy the performing arts through audio description;
  • Make the performing arts accessible to community members of all incomes.

For more information about membership, contact the office for special programs by phone at 814-863-1167 or via email.

Due to the impact of the coronavirus pandemic, this season we are offering members alternative benefits that do not have a monetary value. From July 1, 2020, through June 30, 2021, members may choose to use a charitable IRA rollover, a Qualified IRA Charitable Distribution, or a Donor Advised Fund toward membership. Due to IRS laws, however, membership benefits must be declined upon making your gift. If you have questions on how to make a membership gift using one of these vehicles, please contact Jara Dorsey-Lash, associate director of development, at 814-863-1167 or jed72@psu.edu.
