Penn State School of Visual Arts Assistant Professor Andrew Hieronymi and Shaver’s Creek Environmental Center instructor Jennifer Steigerwalt will share their research on kinesiology, new media, and psychosomatic practice in nature with an interactive journaling activity. Light refreshments will be served.

The conversation, featuring members of the sustainability and visual arts communities, will focus on functioning definitions of sustainability practices, generating sustainable practices in the arts, and intersections of both worlds and their creative outputs. Scheduled Penn State participants are Tom Hogan, Ilona Ballreich, and Peter Buckland from the Sustainability Institute; Joyce Robinson from the Palmer Museum of Art; and Leslie Pillen and Alyssa Gurklis from the Student Farm.

HUB-Robeson Center’s Art Alley
Participate in a tai-chi demonstration to restore and clear mental or physical blocks. Light refreshments will be served.

HUB-Robeson Center’s Robeson Gallery
Listen to student interpretations and reflections, through poetry and prose, on Black Lives Matter. Members of the Penn State student group Writers Organized to Represent Diverse Stories (WORDS) will perform in reflection of the exhibition Aaron Maybin, which runs through April 28 at Robeson Gallery.

Enjoy an instrument petting zoo with some of the instruments featured in the musical theatre production ONCE. The petting zoo is set to a soundtrack of songs that have been influential in social and civic movements in the last seventy-five years. Light refreshments will be served.
