Penn State students can already purchase discounted tickets to Center for the Performing Arts at Penn State presentations thanks to a grant from the University Park Student Fee Board. But for one day—from 9 a.m.–4 p.m. Wednesday, Jan.

The Center for the Performing Arts announced a final tally for funds raised for a major Penn State charity, thanks to ticket and merchandise sales at a performance in November.

The Center for the Performing Arts at Penn State will present Soweto Gospel Choir in concert at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, as part of the South African ensemble’s “Songs of the Free” tour honoring Nelson Mandela’s 100th birthday.

The leading virtuosos on their respective instruments, Béla Fleck, Zakir Hussain and Edgar Meyer move with ease among the spheres of classical, bluegrass, jazz and world music. They’ll come together at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov.

Dallas Children’s Theater will perform “Diary of a Worm, a Spider and a Fly”—a musical adaptation of a popular series of illustrated children’s books—at 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 11, in Eisenhower Auditorium.
