A supreme virtuoso pianist and composer, Sergei Rachmaninoff stole the hearts of listeners worldwide with his swaying melodies, lush orchestration, technical skill, and “singing” tone. He emerged as one of the last great Russian composers of Romantic classical music.

Musicians from the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center — soprano Erika Baikoff, pianist Gilles Vonsattel, violinist Benjamin Beilman, and cellist Clive Greensmith — will deliver an intimate mini-concert featuring excerpts from the society’s repertoire and engage in conversation with attendees.

Snacks and refreshments will be served. Seating is limited. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. Standing room is available when seating is full.

Quietly observe and draw the human form in motion during FLIP Fabrique’s pre-performance onstage warm-up. Reservations are required for the fifty-minute session. Enter through the Eisenhower Auditorium stage door at the loading dock. After the sketching session, attendees must exit and re-enter with a ticket to attend the 7:30 p.m. performance.
