School of Music Feature
Mosaic
The annual Mosaic student concert showcase returns to Eisenhower Auditorium with a concert featuring the Penn State School of Music’s most talented ensembles and soloists.
With the use of special lighting effects, the performances on the stage, grand tier, and balcony connect seamlessly—from the hollow walls of the auditorium to the orchestra seating. With applause occurring only at the intermission and conclusion, Mosaic offers a fast-paced and unique concert experience.
Mosaic is organized by the Ensemble Area of the School of Music, with assistance provided by the school faculty and the Eisenhower Auditorium technical staff. Student soloists and small ensembles audition in October for the opportunity to perform in the concert.
A portion of the ticket sales benefit student scholarships in the School of Music.
