School of Music Feature
Mosaic
Mosaic, Penn State School of Music’s popular student showcase, returns to Eisenhower Auditorium. The annual concert features the Penn State School of Music’s most talented ensembles and soloists.
Using the special lighting effects of Eisenhower Auditorium, performances connect seamlessly from the stage and grand tier to the balcony; from the hollow walls of the auditorium to the audience seating area. With applause occurring only at the intermission and conclusion, Mosaic offers a fast-paced and varied concert experience, keeping the audience guessing as the performances change placement throughout the venue.
Mosaic is organized by the Ensemble Area of the School of Music, with generous assistance provided by the entire school faculty and the Eisenhower Auditorium technical staff. Student soloists and small ensembles audition in October for the honor of appearing in the concert.
