Cirque Éloize HOTEL

7:30 pm Wednesday, October 3, 2018

Cirque Éloize welcomes you into a timeless art-deco hotel, a meeting place for strangers from all walks of life. HOTEL brims with stories. It’s a place where we mingle with strangers for a moment.

From the overwhelmed maître d’hôtel, to the mischievous maid, to the devoted handyman and his inseparable dog, Carpette, the hotel’s staff members are like each of us—privileged witnesses to the lives of colorful individuals.

Carried by the voice of the client on the top floor—who comments, testifies, and tells the story—meet the lovers who still don’t know they’re meant to be, the improbable travelers, and the celebrity who reveals the depth of her being.

Enter the lobby doors of this grandiose hotel, and discover the intricately woven story of these travelers!

Cirque Éloize, based in Montreal, made its Center for the Performing Arts premiere in 1995. The contemporary circus company will be performing for the sixth time at Eisenhower Auditorium. Including HOTEL, which features a cast of acrobats and musicians, the Center for the Performing Arts has co-commissioned three Cirque Éloize productions.
