Penn State Faculty
The Center for the Performing Arts has a long history of collaborating with Penn State faculty members to create in-class experiences that enhance classroom learning. As a unit of the College of Arts and Architecture, we are committed to infusing arts experiences across the curriculum in meaningful ways.
Recent examples include the eleven musicians of The Nile Project visiting a sociology course on race and ethnic relations to explain how they are building a shared African identity among the Nile Basin countries; a Baroque orchestra musician telling an astronomy course about her research on Galileo; and the members of a British a cappella octet visiting an entrepreneurship course to explain their business model.
We custom-designed these experiences in discussions with the artists and the professors. We are glad to do the same for you and your students. To discuss the possibilities, email Amy Dupain Vashaw.
