Obie Award-winning 600 Highwaymen presents A Thousand Ways: An Assembly, written and created by Abigail Browde and Michael Silverstone, with Andrew Kircher.
In a performance created by strangers using a carefully crafted and shared script, sixteen audience members come together for one hour to construct an evocative story of perseverance. This timely and unique theatrical work brings people together in the creation of a moving live experience, with no audience present.
A Thousand Ways: An Assembly explores the line between strangeness and kinship, distance and proximity, and how the most intimate assembly can become profoundly radical.
The event is recommended for participants age 16 and older.

This production was commissioned by The Arts Center at NYU Abu Dhabi, Stanford Live at Stanford University, The Public Theater, and Festival Theaterformen. An Assembly was developed through a residency with the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs, and with A. P. E. Arts in Northampton, Massachusetts.
