An informal discussion, featuring Chen Lo and Asante Amin, will be offered one hour before the performance and is free for ticket holders. Kikora Franklin, associate professor of theatre/dance at Penn State, will moderate. Seating for the pre-concert talk is available on a first-arrival basis.

Ethan Robey, associate teaching professor of art history at Penn State, will moderate the talk. Seating for the pre-concert talk is available on a first-arrival basis.

Amir ElSaffar — trumpeter, santur (hammered dulcimer) player, vocalist, and composer — is a master of diverse sounds. The Chicago-area native has distinguished himself by combining Middle Eastern traditions with jazz and other styles of music.
