With the bombardment of America’s chart-topping pop tunes swirling around campus, students can seek relief in instrumental compositions. The Center for the Performing Arts partners with various Penn State units and student organizations to present the fifth season of Classical Coffeehouse.

The Tony Award-winning Best Musical “A Gentleman’s Guide to Love & Murder” will bring its national tour to Penn State for one performance at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 19, in Eisenhower Auditorium.

Lila Downs, a Grammy Award-winning Mexican-American singer-songwriter and social activist, will share her revolutionary spirit with a performance of traditional Latin American folk songs, Cuban son, rancheras, boleros and more at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 17, in Eisenhower Auditorium.

Contemporary circus troupe Flip FabriQue will celebrate friendship and fun with its gravity-defying production “Catch Me!” at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 11, in Eisenhower Auditorium.

Grammy Award-winning jazz singer Cécile McLorin Salvant, praised for her vocal and emotional range, will make her Penn State debut at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 14, in Schwab Auditorium.
