California’s Monterey Jazz Festival is the longest consecutively running festival of its kind. In celebration of its six decades, the festival’s touring arm will bring to Penn State a diverse roster of millennial talent representing the future leaders of jazz.

Urban Bush Women, a dance-theater company that gives expression to the vitality and boldness of African-American women, will perform “Hair & Other Stories” at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 14, in Eisenhower Auditorium.

Cécile McLorin Salvant and Soweto Gospel Choir, artists who are part of the Center for the Performing Arts 2018–19 season, were among the winners when the 2019 Grammy Awards were announced Sunday, Feb. 10.

The Center for the Performing Arts recently concluded its “Warm Hearts” clothing drive. The drive, held in partnership with Skills of Central PA, Inc., collected more than 150 new winter-weather items—including hats, scarves, gloves and socks—to benefit community members in need.
