Save 40 percent on streaming Apollo’s Fire ‘Amandas’ performance

The Center for the Performing Arts invites its patrons to view upcoming watch-from-home events by Apollo’s Fire, The Cleveland Baroque Orchestra.

Thanks to a partnership between the two organizations, fans of Classical and Baroque music can access a 40-percent discount on the watch-from-home concert “Allure: The Three Amandas.” The program, featuring sopranos Powell and Amanda Forsythe, plus mezzo-soprano Amanda Crider, will include vocal trios and instrumental dances. It will be available to stream for 30 days after purchase.

Named for the classical god of music and the sun, Apollo’s Fire, founded by Jeannette Sorrell, revived the Baroque ideal that music should evoke listeners’ emotions. The ensemble has performed at Penn State’s Schwab Auditorium six times.
