‘Six’ shines the spotlight on the ex-wives of Henry VIII in three performances Nov. 18–20 in Eisenhower Auditorium
UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. (Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2025)—From the Edinburgh Fringe Festival to Broadway, the Tony Award-winning, electrifying new musical phenomenon “Six” will make its next stop in Happy Valley with three performances at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 18–Thursday, Nov. 20, in Eisenhower Auditorium.
The power-pop concert-styled Broadway musical is a retelling of the lives of the six wives of Tudor England’s charismatic yet romantically ruthless ruler, Henry VII. The ex wives are inspired the pop stars of today. Think Miley Cyrus, Beyonce, Avril Lavigne, Adele, Britney Spears, Rihanna, Carrie Underwood and others.
Tickets are $89 and $74 for an adult; $53 and $48 for a University Park student; and $72 and $57 for a person 18 and younger and are available to buy online. Avoid the $4 fee by purchasing over the phone at 814-863-0255 or in person, weekdays 10 a.m.–4 p.m., at Eisenhower Auditorium.

Entries will be accepted until 5 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 13. Winners will be notified by email on Nov. 14 and will be instructed to purchase the tickets by phone or in person at the Arts Ticket Center. If your entry is selected, you must purchase the $30 tickets by 4 p.m. Monday, Nov. 17, or relinquish the offer. The offer is not valid on prior purchases.

From Tudor queens to pop icons, the “Six” wives of Henry VIII take the microphone to remix 500 years of historical heartbreak into a euphoric celebration of 21st-century girl power. This new original musical by Tony Award winners Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss is the global sensation that everyone is losing their head over!
“They’re sick and tired of everyone arguing over who’s the most important wife,” Moss said in an April interview with Chicago Shakespeare Theater. “The Queens decide to hold a competition between them: Whoever had the worst time in her marriage to Henry VIII will be crowned the leading lady of the girl group.”
The 80-minute musical event features each queen vying for favoritism with an awe-inspiring solo. What could possibly go wrong?
The North American tour Boleyn company touring cast includes Emma Elizabeth Smith as Catherine of Aragon; Nella Cole as Anne Boleyn; Kelly Denice Taylor as Jane Seymour; Hailey Alexis Lewis as Anna of Cleves; Alizé Cruz as Katherine Howard; and Tasia Jungbauer as Catherine Parr; with alternates Anna Hertel, Carlina Parker, Abigail Sparrow and Reese Cameron.
“Six” won 23 awards in the 2021–2022 Broadway season, including the Tony for Best Original Score (music and lyrics) and the Outer Critics Circle Award for Best Musical. “Six” includes flashing lights, strobe effects, theatrical haze and loud music. The production is recommended for ages 10 and older, but Queens of all ages are welcome!
