The Soweto Gospel Choir will return to Penn State with a new concert commemorating the freedom movements in two countries.

The exuberant vocal ensemble will perform “Hope: It’s Been a Long Time Coming” at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2022, in Eisenhower Auditorium.

Kings Return, an a cappella ensemble known for its skill in stairwell acoustics, will make its Penn State debut at 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, in School of Music Recital Hall.

A portion of the program will feature singers from Penn State vocal ensembles.

After appearing in virtual events in the Center for the Performing Arts’ past two seasons, Delfeayo Marsalis and the Uptown Jazz Orchestra will bring its energy to life on stage at Penn State. The New Orleans jazz ensemble will perform at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3, in Eisenhower Auditorium.

The Center for the Performing Arts at Penn State will present the world premiere of the contemporary multimedia opera “A Marvelous Order” at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 20, in Eisenhower Auditorium.

Prolific Puerto Rican jazz saxophonist Miguel Zenón and his quartet will explore “Música de las Américas” in their Penn State debut at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 11, in Recital Hall.
