At the invitation of the Center for the Performing Arts, St. Lawrence String Quartet has created the streamed event “Haydn Discovery,” a special free discussion and performance of Joseph Haydn’s seminal composition, String Quartet Op. 20, No. 3

Friends and colleagues of George Trudeau, director of the Center for the Performing Arts at Penn State and associate clinical professor in the College of Arts and Architecture, have established the George Trudeau Endowment for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at the Center for the Performing Arts.

Due to the widespread power outages in New Orleans caused by Hurricane Zeta, a Friday, Oct. 30, virtual livestream featuring Delfeayo Marsalis and Uptown Jazz Orchestra has been postponed.

The Center for the Performing Arts hopes to reschedule the event soon.

Michael Mwenso will continue the “Meeting the Moment” livestream series at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28. In the second episode of his virtual series dedicated to Black artists, Mwenso will speak with Charles Dumas, professor emeritus of the Penn State School of Theatre.
