In its fifth appearance at the Center for the Performing Arts at Penn State, Apollo’s Fire, The Cleveland Baroque Orchestra, will present “Christmas on Sugarloaf Mountain: A Celtic-Appalachian Celebration.” The 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov.

A new production of “The Sound of Music,” produced by NETworks Presentations, will make its Penn State debut at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, Nov. 14–15, in Eisenhower Auditorium.

Spanish Harlem Orchestra, the two-time Grammy-winning salsa and Latin jazz ensemble, will undoubtedly coax a rhythm out of the audience during a performance at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 9, in Eisenhower Auditorium.

Salsa Social will bring Latin American flair to State College. The Center for the Performing Arts at Penn State, in partnership with Penn State Ballroom Dance Club and Borough of State College, invites the community to learn how to move to the music at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov.

Yo-Yo Ma will perform for the third time at Penn State, and this time he’s bringing company. The famed cellist will perform with British pianist Kathryn Stott, his longtime collaborator, at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 3, in Eisenhower Auditorium.
