Circa’s 14 extreme acrobats and live accompaniment by the Debussy String Quartet breathe life into the music of Russian composer Dmitri Shostakovich in “Opus” at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 11, in Eisenhower Auditorium.

The Tony, Grammy and Olivier Award-winning hit musical “Jersey Boys,” the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, continues with a 7:30 p.m. performance each day through Sunday, Nov. 8, and 2 p.m. performances Saturday, Nov. 7, and Nov. 8.

The THON 5K race takes place Saturday, November 7, which may affect arrival and parking for the 2 p.m. “Jersey Boys” performance.

Some roads on the University Park campus will be closed until 1 p.m., so “Jersey Boys” ticket holders should plan to arrive after that time.

Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Mavis Staples and seven-time Grammy Award-nominated vocalist Joan Osborne will join forces in a “Solid Soul” tour concert at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 27, in Eisenhower Auditorium.

Husband-and-wife banjo virtuosos Béla Fleck and Abigail Washburn blend his bluegrass-to-jazz-to-classical instrumentals with her Chinese and Appalachia-influenced, claw-hammered style plus vocals to result in what NPR describes as the sound of two banjos engrossed in conversation.
