Community members are invited to Centre County Use Your Voice, a free 90-minute event about the barriers that keep people from civic engagement, at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 29, in Schlow Centre Region Library’s Downsbrough Community Room.

Carnival comes to an end with Ash Wednesday, Feb. 10. But Globalfest on the Road’s concert version of the annual celebration—featuring musicians from Brazil, Haiti and Jamaica—will get the party going again at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 25, in Eisenhower Auditorium.

“Disney’s Beauty and the Beast,” the award-winning worldwide smash hit Broadway musical, is returning to the Center for the Performing Arts at Penn State. Produced by NETworks Presentations, this elaborate theatrical production will come to life on stage at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb.

Windscape, a self-described “unquintet,” will make its Penn State debut with the innovative program “East Meets West: A Floating World—Japan and the Impressionists” at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 18, in Schwab Auditorium.

The Center for the Performing Arts will present Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s classic musical “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, in Eisenhower Auditorium.
