We Art
Artists as Academics
Eisenhower Auditorium Conference Room
How do we maintain our creative practices when our professional lives take place in other industries? Faculty and staff members from across University Park campus will share how they balance their dual passions and experiences. Participants include Moses Davis, director of the Multicultural Resource Center and a world traveler; Jacqueline Edmondson, associate vice president and associate dean for undergraduate education and a musician; Raymond Najjar, professor of oceanography in the Department of Meteorology and Atmospheric Science and a jazz bassist; and Kat Shondeck, unit liaison in the Office of Annual Giving and a community theatre actress and choreographer. Light refreshments will be served.
What’s We Art? Each one-hour session highlights different areas and avenues of participating in the arts to illuminate possibilities in the field. We Art is focused on introducing Penn State students of all majors to broader intersections of art and culture as they consider their professional goals. Attendees are welcome to bring their lunches.
