Cécile McLorin Salvant and Soweto Gospel Choir, artists who are part of the Center for the Performing Arts 2018–19 season, were among the winners when the 2019 Grammy Awards were announced Sunday, Feb. 10.

The Center for the Performing Arts recently concluded its “Warm Hearts” clothing drive. The drive, held in partnership with Skills of Central PA, Inc., collected more than 150 new winter-weather items—including hats, scarves, gloves and socks—to benefit community members in need.

Toronto’s Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra and Trio Arabica—in concert at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb.

The Czech National Symphony Orchestra, conducted by John Mauceri and joined by multiple Grammy Award-winning singer Isabel Leonard, will celebrate the centennial of Leonard Bernstein’s birth in a concert at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27, in Eisenhower Auditorium.

The Tony and Grammy Award-winning Broadway hit “Beautiful—The Carole King Musical,” about the early life and career of the legendary and groundbreaking singer/songwriter, continues its State College premiere with performances through Sunday, Feb. 24, at Eisenhower Auditorium.
