FUND AN ENDOWMENT

Endowments are funds that are maintained in perpetuity. A portion of the earnings is used for the purpose specified by the donor. The rest of the investment yield is returned to principal. Thus, over the years, the fund can grow and, it is hoped, keep pace with inflation. Such endowments, which typically bear the name of the donor(s), demonstrate an everlasting commitment to Penn State and the Center for the Performing Arts.

A program support endowment may be established with a minimum gift of $50,000.

For more information about endowments, contact Dave Shaffer, assistant director for special programs, at 814-863-1167 or via e-mail.
