Music by Robert Reale
Book and lyrics by Willie Reale
Based on the books by Arnold Lobel

10:00 am Monday, March 20, 2017
one hour 15 minutes

Arnold Lobel’s award-winning children’s classic returns to the Eisenhower Auditorium stage. The musical adaptation, developed by the author's daughter Adrianne Lobel, remains true to the spirit of the original stories. Even the set designs evoke the book illustrations. During its run on Broadway, A Year with Frog and Toad was nominated for three Tony Awards, including Best Musical. Cheerful and popular Frog and grumpy Toad share woodland adventures through the cycle of seasons. As they adapt in order to manage changes in the environment, Frog and Toad learn life lessons about their friendship and the ability to rejoice in what makes each of us special.
