Arts and Advocacy

12:00 pm Thursday, November 3, 2016

Eisenhower Auditorium Conference Room

Free and open to Penn State students

What role does art play in advocacy? Consider ways to make your voice heard through creative expression and hear from Penn State students, faculty, and staff members engaged in advocacy efforts with the arts as a vehicle.

Scheduled participants include HUB-Robeson Galleries' Ann Shields and Sarah Kipp, School of Visual Arts graduate students Christen Sperry-Garcia and Veronica Hicks, and Sovereign magazine's Kim Bowen and Nadia Souada.

Light refreshments will be served.

What’s We Art? Each one-hour session highlights different areas and avenues of participating in the arts to illuminate possibilities in the field. We Art is focused on introducing Penn State students of all majors to broader intersections of art and culture as they consider their professional goals. Attendees are welcome to bring their lunches.
